Q : What are warranty policies, and how long does it last?

A :

GEARLAB warrants each new bicycle frame for each new bicycle to be free from material and production defects for a period of 10 years given that each new bicycle is used for common use purposes only.

GEARLAB warrants each new bicycle component on each new bicycle to be free from material and production defects for 1 year given that each new bicycle is used for common use purposes only.

Please send the bicycle and components to us (GEARLAB not responsible for the delivery) if exchange and repair is needed during the warranty period.

Q : Do GEARLAB urban bikes have height limits?

A :

GEARLAB espresso accommodates riders roughly from 150cm – 185cm. It would be the most accurate to try a bike to know the exact fit and comfort.

Q : Is espresso single speed or multiple speeds?

A :

All espresso offer 5 speeds via internal gear hub.

Q : Is mini velo slower and inefficient to pedal?

A :

The pedaling speed is mainly determined by the gear ratio.  A mini velo could achieve the same pedaling efficiency of a conventional 26” wheel bike with the appropriate gear ratio.  Small wheels offers lower centre of gravity, more agile, and easier to accelerate, which are all great attributes for city riding.

Q : Is the front rack of espresso an optional item?

A :

No, the front rack is standard on all espressos.

Q : Step-over and step-through frames, which fits my riding needs?

A :

The main difference between step-over and step-through is the top tube and height of the seat tube.  The step-over frame has a top tube, which requires the rider to raise one leg to waist height to mount the bike.  The step-through frame does not have a top tube, and has a shorter seat tube to accommodate shorter riders.  The rider does not needs to raise the leg as high to mount the bike, which makes riding with skirts, dresses, and long jackets much easier.

Q : Service and Repair

A :

Most of services and repairs could be done at conventional bike shops.  Please contact us first, we will suggest where to go for your particular needs.

Q : Are GEARLAB components sold separately?

A :

Most of the components are parts are developed specifically for espresso, therefore they could not be used on other bikes. 

Q : Can I test ride the bikes?

A :

Of course!  Test riding is highly recommended.  Please contact our service line, +886 2 2708 1036, to arrange a test ride.

Shipment

Q : Do you ship internationally?

A :

We only ship within Taiwan at the moment, but is working on international shipping.

Payment

Q : What payment methods can I use?

A :

You can pay by PayPal or pay at store in cash.

Q : Are taxes inclusive in the retail price?

A :

The retail price includes all taxes if the purchase is made within Taiwan.

Order

Q : How do I know if the order has been processed? How do I check my orders?

A :

You will receive a confirmation email when the order is completed.  If you wish to check the order information, please click here.

Q : Why I did not get Order Confirmation mail?

A :

Two possibilities:

  1. The mail might be placed in junk mail folder.  If that is the case, please set GEARLAB as “safe sender”, all future emails from GEARLAB will be sent to your inbox.
  2. There might be incorrect personal information, please double check the information.

Q : Is it possible to order the bike online, and pick it up at a physical store?

A :

Yes it is feasible.  If the bike does not fit or suit your needs we will refund the full amount accordingly.

Q : Would it be possible to change the order after the order has been completed?

A :

The online store does not offer the option of changing/editing a completed order at the moment.  Please contact us to cancel your previous order.  If you have already received the merchandise, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the items to arrange return and re-ordering.

Q : There is a mistake on the invoice, what should I do?

A :

Please contact when you find the mistakes.  We will correct the mistakes and re-issue an invoice accordingly.

Q : How to cancel an order?

A :

Q : After an order is canceled, when will I be refunded?

A :

If the order is cancelled before the item(s) is shipped, the refund will be made within 7 working days.  If the order is cancelled after the shipment is made, please return the items to us.  The refund will be made within 7 working days after we receive the item(s).
